The Junkies | Weekdays 5-10 AM
The Junkies are four buddies from PG County, MD, who blew up on the WJFK airwaves starting in the summer of 1996. John Auville (Cakes), Eric Bickel (EB), Jason Bishop (Lurch) and John-Paul Flaim (JP) started a cable access tv show in Bowie in 1995 and now they've taken over the coveted morning drive slot on 106.7 FM WJFK.

The Junkies got their big break in 1996 when the Washington Times wrote an article about their tv show. WJFK gave them a shot on the weekends and the boys blew up. In 1997 they took over for the Greaseman at nights and the rest is history. The Junkies were on from 7-11 pm for over five years and were nationally syndicated before they moved to morning drive on 99.1 WHFS in October of 2002.

In January of 2005, the Junkies returned to their roots at WJFK in the midday slot after a format switch at 99.1. On January 3rd, 2006, the Junkies took over the morning airwaves in DC (106.7 FM) and Baltimore (105.7 FM) that have been occupied by Howard Stern for so many years. The Junkies show has been dubbed "beer-and-babes radio but with a lot of heart." The Junkies are now heard weekdays 5-10 AM on 106.7 WJFK. Spread the word!
